The TP4057 operates in constant current/constant voltage mode, terminating charge automatically when current drops to 1/10 of the set value.


Trickle charging below 2.9V and automatic recharge functionality help extend battery life.
An internal thermal feedback mechanism reduces charging current when chip temperature exceeds safe limits.
